Collectively, the best desserts I’ve made at home have come from my collection of Baked books, and the best all around food has come from Yottam Ottolenghi’s books. Plenty has amazing vegetarian recipes. I mean amazing. Now there is Plenty More. I’m a bit behind the times, (this book came out last year) but any book by Ottolenghi is worthy of a place on your cookbook shelf.
Marvis 7 Days Of Flavor Set. I especially love the Amarelli Licorice toothpaste, and this is a great way to try all of the flavors. Great stocking stuffers!
Lamy Safari Fountain Pen– These are pretty awesome fountain pens for the price and they come in a variety of colors.
A good pen is only half the writing experience. Rhodia Notepads are a cult favorite, and once you write on them you may never go back.
Alex and Ani bangles catch my eye every time I see them, and they look charming by themselves or layered. They come in gold, silver, and rose gold finishes.
Pottery Barn’s Cozy Cable Knit Throws are the stuff of cozy dreams. It’s the perfect blanket for snuggling up with a book and a steaming mug of hot chocolate, or binge-watching Peaky Blinders on a cold winter’s night. I love mine so much, it’s hard for me to share it with David.
I love a good stoneware mixing bowl. These Mason Cash ones from Kaufmann Mercantile are simply beautiful.
Of the monthly beauty subscriptions I have tried in the past, Petit Vour is the only one I have stuck with. The box comes with large samples and sometimes full size (like nail polish) luxury, cruelty-free beauty products. The subscription is $15 a month (you can cancel at any time) or you can get a 3 month or 6 month plan, which makes it a great gift for the product junkies in your life.
I have heard great things about these Bodum Pavina Double Wall Thermo Tumblers. They are double walled which means they resist heat and condensation making them comfortable to hold-with either hot or cold beverages. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
There is a reason By Terry Baume de Rose has cult status as an amazing lip balm. Yes it’s pricey, but these beautiful, frosted glass jars seem to last forever. This is the only lip balm I have ever used that heals and repairs my dry and peely winter lips, and makes them look pillowy and soft (and keeps them that way). Baume de Rose also doubles as a great cuticle treatment.
Sip your favorite bourbon in these city map glasses etched with a map of your city (I’m still waiting for Detroit, Mr. Johnson!)
Paddywax Apothecary Amber & Smoke candle is my favorite. Its smoky, sultry and warm scent is perfect for this time of year.
Also, I still love all these gift ideas from last year!
