Stork Club

stork club

The Stork Club, once located at 3 East 53rd street, was the place to be in Manhattan after the end of prohibition and was a pinnacle of glamorous café society. Aristocrats mingled with movie stars, politicians, celebrities and former bootleggers. (The bar owner himself was a former bootlegger.) While the remains of the Stork Club are buried beneath what is now Paley Park, its namesake cocktail still exists today. And with that tidbit of New York nightclub history I say goodnight, and sip up.
