The Pegu Club used to be the signature drink of the Pegu Club, a gentlemen’s club near Rangoon, Burma that served British army officers and civilian administrators. It was one of the most famous gentlemen’s clubs in Southeast Asia. The club no longer exists, (in modern day Myanmar) but you can still get a Pegu Club at the Pegu Club in New York‘s SoHo district, which continues to serve the colonial cocktail.
