Who loves these nostalgic treats? Me! These are your typical marshmallow crispy treats, but after you stir the crispy cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture, you then add mini marshmallows which results in little bits of chewy marshmallow throughout the gooey treats. I confess I don’t make these often. David and I ate all of the treats in 2 days. That’s why.

4 tablespoons butter, plus more for greasing
one 10 oz bag marshmallows
¼ tsp salt
6 cups of crispy rice cereal
mini white marshmallows
Thoroughly grease a 9×13 inch pan with softened butter.
In a large pot melt the 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the 10 oz bag of marshmallows until they’ve completely melted. Stir in the salt. Remove from heat. Gently fold in the cereal. Pour in mini marshmallows (as many as you want, I used about half of the bag) and gently fold in.
Turn into the buttered pan, and press flat with a rubber spatula.
Let cool completely, then cut into squares, or use buttered cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
