This bright and sunny smoothie is a favorite in my smoothie repertoire. It is tart but sweet with an electric yellow color that cheers me up before I even enjoy its taste and its detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and alkalizing benefits. Happy Monday to you!

makes: 1 (24 oz.) or 2 (12 oz.) smoothies
1 1/2 cups peeled and diced ripe fresh mango (about 1 large mango)
1/2 cup seedless green grapes
1/2 – 1 cup ice
1/2 cup coconut water or filtered water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1-2 Medjool dates, pitted (optional, to sweeten*)
Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth.
*The sweetness of your mango and grapes will determine whether or not you need to add the dates. If you are not using a high-speed blender like a Vitamix, soak the dates in hot water for 30 minutes before blending.
