Coffee & Banana Smoothie


This smoothie is a great hunger buster in the morning. (Or any time of day) Bananas are great natural sources of potassium, fiber, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and iron. They can also help boost your mood and provide instant energy, so they are great to eat in the morning, and before or after a workout.

1 cup 1% low fat milk, (or dairy free milk for a vegan version)
½ cup cold black coffee
1 banana, sliced
1-2 tsp. sugar (I try to avoid white sugar when possible, so I substitute raw cane sugar or raw agave syrup)
½ cup of ice

Blend until smooth.
